Distribution: Found only for the surroundings of Odessa, Dniepr Delta and in the North of Nikolaev province. Less common than L. fulva.
Habitat: A wide range of mostly stagnant waters, especially favouring those that are small, shallow, sunny and bare, such as cattle-drinking pools or quarry lakes (Dijkstra, 2006).
Flight period in the SW Ukraine: Middle May – End of June
