Distribution: Widespread but rare, in the Dniepr delta quite common
Habitat: All kinds of well-vegetated standing waters, especially where there are floating dead reeds or rushes (Dijkstra, 2006). In the SW Ukraine found on the banks of large slow-flowing river in wetlands forest and meadows.
Flight period in the SW Ukraine: registered from beginning of May till the middle October but for sure occurs.
